Welcome to Kilninver Primary School

A very warm welcome to Kilninver Primary School.

We are a small, mainstream, non-denominational school, which serves a wide rural area to the south of Oban. The majority of our children come from Kilmelford and travel to school by minibus. Others live in smaller settlements within our catchment area, which extends from Knipoch to the north of the school to Arduaine to the south, also taking in Scammadale Glen to the east and Clachan Seil to the west.

We also provide1140 hours of funded Early Learning and Childcare provision for children who have reached their third birthday.

We are proud of our learning environment and are in the process of developing our playground, loose parts area and hill garden.  This environment enhances our outdoor learning opportunities using an area of woodland near Kilmelford Hall.

The children at Kilninver are at the heart of everything we do and all improvements that we make.  We provide a variety of learning opportunities using all our learning spaces and are developing a playful, active pedagogy with progress and attainment at the forefront.

The staff team work hard to make sure that every child feels supported, safe and cared for in school and treated with respect. We appreciate parental involvement in school life, as we know that this can have a positive impact on your child/children’s experience at school.

We look forward to working with you as we work together to develop your child’s learning experience at Kilninver.
